Avatar: The Way of Water, which released in the theaters on 16th December 2022, has leapt into the pool of expectations and comparisons. And the movie earlier crossed the milestone of $1 billion, $1.5 billion and now it has crossed the $2 billion mark. Very close to crossing the target. But now it is all set to become the highest-grossing movie in the post-Covid era.

While Spider-Man: No Way Home has done $ 1.916 billion business so far. Which holds the record of the highest-grossing movie in the post-pandemic era.
Avatar 2 grossed a total of $1.331 billion in overseas markets alone, a feat surpassed only by Avengers: Endgame, Titanic, and Avengers: Infinity War prior to Avatar 2.

As you all know that Avatar 2 is nearing to cross $2 billion at the worldwide box office, the movie’s director James Cameron said in a recent interview that movie watching in the era of streaming dominance Even today, give importance to theatrical experience.
“I’m thinking about it as we are returning to theaters around the world. Even we are returning to theaters in China which is seeing a big surge of Covid. We as a society are saying are, ‘We need this! We need to go to theaters’. Enough with streaming already! I’m tired of sitting on my a*s,” Cameron told Variety.

The sequel is centered around interpersonal relationships. Directed by James Cameron, Sam Worthington stars Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, and Kate Winslet in the lead roles.
